About this role

Cumulus is a Sydney-based mortgage broking firm built on a simple idea: great home-loan advice shouldn't cost people their evenings and weekends — our clients' or our own. We're growing, and we're looking for someone at the start of their broking journey to grow with us. About the role This is a rare entry-level opportunity to become a fully qualified mortgage broker with real support behind you. You'll join as a trainee broker alongside experienced brokers who mentor you through your first deals — from the initial client conversation all the way to settlement. We provide the leads, the systems, the training and a base salary, so you can focus on learning the craft. What your day looks like You might start the morning reviewing new enquiries and prepping for appointments, spend the middle of the day meeting first-home buyers and refinancers to understand their goals, and finish by packaging applications, liaising with lenders, and keeping clients updated on where their loan is at. As you find your feet, you'll take on more of your own clients and start writing loans independently. The team You'll join a close, collaborative team that shares knowledge rather than hoards it — brokers, support staff and client managers who work together, where no question is too basic. Cumulus is a Rebalanced Certified employer, so we take work-life balance seriously: hybrid working, sensible hours, and a culture that trusts you to manage your own time. Why join Because you get a clear pathway to becoming a fully licensed, self-sufficient broker, with a base salary and uncapped commission so you earn while you learn. We'll support you through your accreditation, hand you warm leads instead of a cold-call list, and give you the flexibility to actually enjoy the life you're helping clients build.
